Accessibility

MOBiDYS aims to expand the range of accessible digital books for DYS audiences, with the goal of making reading accessible to as many people as possible. It produces e-books in the FROG format, an enriched EPUB 3 format designed for people with cognitive disorders.

These adaptations, which are highly specific to this target audience, are in some cases not yet compatible with the native accessibility standards of EPUB files. Nevertheless, MOBiDYS plans to further develop the FROG format in order to comply as closely as possible with the RGAA criteria.

Although it is not legally subject to them, MOBiDYS is committed to making its websites and web applications accessible, in accordance with Article 47 of French Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005. As a reminder, digital accessibility means that websites, technologies, and tools are designed and developed so that people with disabilities can use them.

Accordingly, MOBiDYS strives to progressively improve the level of compliance of its websites and web platforms with the RGAA, within the limits of its available resources. To this end, MOBiDYS has implemented the following strategy and actions:

  • In 2023, MOBiDYS developed its Sondo.fr website using a template provided by its partner ILT Education. At the time of its creation, this template complied with WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria.

  • In 2023, MOBiDYS also engaged the company Koena to train one of its team members in conducting RGAA 4.1 compliance audits.

  • Initial audits of the Sondo Primaire and BibliOdyssée web platforms were conducted internally under the supervision of Koena. These audits made it possible to identify all critical areas of non-compliance and to establish a corrective action plan.

  • In 2025, MOBiDYS relies on its parent company, ILT Education, based in Sweden, to implement technical improvements to the Sondo web application. MOBiDYS has also delegated WCAG 2.1 compliance assessments to ILT Education.

  • In parallel, MOBiDYS raises internal awareness among its employees to ensure that the digital communication content they produce complies with accessibility principles.

Finally, a new WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance assessment is scheduled for the second half of 2025 for the Sondo.fr and Mobidys.fr websites, and very likely for the web application platforms Sondo Primaire and BibliOdyssée. Depending on the results, a new improvement action plan will be established for late 2025 and 2026. The opportunity to conduct external RGAA 4.1 compliance audits will then be considered.
